A Bee's Life

You are a bee who has to collect nectar from differnt kind of flowers on an island. Your bee friends help you get the nectar back to the hive. But don't give it to your 3-striped competition, they will steal it! Fill at least 500 honeycombs and get back to the hive safely to win. If you take your job REALLY seriously, you can fill up to 1,000 honeycombs.

But BEE aware: There are wasps in your way. They will sting you if you don't hide in spacial flowers.

Controls:

Fly: Hold SPACE

Steer left: Hold A

Steer right: Hold D

Interact: Press E

Hide: Hold E

Alternative controls:

Fly: Hold UP arrow

Steer left: Hold LEFT arrow

Steer right: Hold RIGHT arrow

Interact: Press E

Hide: Hold E

You can play the game directly in your browser or download the zipped game (below) and play it offline. If you choose the download option, unzip the folder and open the file A Bee's Life.exe. It starts in full-screen mode; to close the game use ALT+F4.

A Bee's Life is a project for the Chill Devs: Chill Jam 9. This was the second game jam for my friend Karin and me, Marco. While Karin was in charge of the beautiful art of the game, I did the programming and game design in Unity.
